SHOWER FAUCETS INSTALLATION LOCATION IN THE BATHROOM
A shower is a requirement in today's world. These sanitary items are easier to clean and take up less floor area than a bathtub, but a shower requires greater height for its walls than a tub. Its height is defined by the code, the type... You must also stick to the minimal shower height to avoid damaging your bathroom walls.
I. What is the standard shower size?
According to bathroom experts, the standard shower size is 170cm long and 70cm wide. Customize your family bathroom space to choose the right shower size. The larger the size of the shower, the more comfortable and convenient your bathroom will be because the larger-sized showerheads have better water holding capacity than the small ones.
1. Wall-mounted shower size (traditional shower)
The shower bowl, the shower cable, and the shower tube are the three primary components of a wall-mounted shower. The shower rope makes it easier to move the shower around. The shower height in this design is appropriate for most people's heights and Vietnamese bathroom space.
- Shower wire size: about 150-160cm.
- The average size of the sidebar shower: Width 15cm x Length of 12cm x Height 23cm.
- Size of shower head diameter: about 7-15cm.
2. Size of shower column - standing shower
Standing showers are designed to be very handy when there are 2 types: One with a fixed height. A type that can change height. This type has the following part sizes:
- Standing shower height: about 1m-1.2m.
- Length of horizontal shower body: about 40-50cm.
- Diameter of shower head: about 20-25cm.
To be adequate, the height of the fixed tree shower should be chosen based on the size of family members and the location of the water source. Since the fixed size of the shower will impact your family's comfort.
II. Guide to choosing a location to install the shower with high aesthetics
It is critical to consider where to install the shower. Using a standard showerhead that is appropriate for the bathroom space will prevent difficulties while also saving time and work.
1. For wired showers
When installing a shower, the faucet height should be equal to the average height of the father and mother plus around 10cm. This distance location will be appropriate for the heights of family members. The wire shower mount is often situated 160-165 cm above the ground, based on the average height of Vietnamese people.
2. For the standing shower (shower column)
When building the shower bowl portion of the standing shower, it should be approximately 15-20 cm taller than the tallest person in the house. That is, it should be installed at a height of around 180-200cm from the floor, but if the water intensity is high, it should be installed at a height of 5-10cm higher. The water shut-off valve must be selected to match the height of the lotus plant and the position of the lotus bowl. The water shutoff valve should be installed about 80-100 cm above the ground.
*Note: If the family has conditions, it is recommended to use a high-class standing lotus that can change the height. When installing you can customize the shower height as desired to suit family members and to have good water pressure.
III. Important considerations when installing shower height
When installing the shower height, you need to pay attention to the following issues:
- The size of the hot and cold shower must correspond to the base of the shower. This distance is usually 75-80cm from the floor to the water supply.
- Installation distance between two hot and cold lines must comply with 15-18cm, and tightly seal the joints and screws to avoid water leakage.
