NOTICES WHEN CLEANING

YOUR DISHWASHER AT HOME

Dishwasher - an appliance that almost every modern kitchen has. It is critical to clean the dishwasher while it is in operation if you want it to perform smoothly and for a long period. If you still don't know how to clean and maintain your dishwasher, Adorn Museum can assist!

I. Why is it necessary to clean the dishwasher on a regular basis?

During dishwashing machine operation, stains, grease, and hard water (calcifiers) collect, along with germs that grow, causing unpleasant odors and reducing efficiency. Regular dishwasher cleaning will provide benefits such as:

  • Improve the machine's performance and efficiency.
  • Save power and water in an efficient manner.
  • Making dishes more fragrant and cleaner while also ensuring the health of the entire household.
  • Reduce damage and extend the life of the machine.

II. Notes on dishwasher cleaning

To ensure that the machine's features continue to function effectively and that you save the most money, shelf life, and energy, you must clean the dishwasher thoroughly. Starting with the basics, you can verify that your dishwasher is still as "excellent" as the day it was purchased.

      1. Machine cage and machine body cleaning

  • Step 1: Wipe the position of the control panel with a gentle, damp cloth, then wipe it again with a dry cloth.
  • Step 2: Combine water and dishwasher detergent, then rub the inside of the machined cage. Scrub all nooks, corners, and edges of the machine gently. Scrub tough spots with a soft-bristled brush.
  • Step 3: Remove the bottom bracket, inspect the exhaust system, and clean the area to ensure there are no hard things stuck.
  • Step 4: Wipe the door edges with a soft cloth as well as the machine door. Avoid getting cleaning agents on the door lock or electrical components, which can cause damage and hazard.

Sharp tools, metal cleaning pads, and extremely corrosive chemicals should never be used to clean the dishwasher!

      2. Dishwasher filter cleaning

Cleaning the filter requires cleaning all three parts: the main filter, the fine filter basket, and the coarse filter. The following filter cleaning procedures are followed:

  • Step 1: Remove the complete filter from the body, then lift the filter, flip the pre-filter upside down, and remove it from the fine filter basket. Lift the fine filter basket away from the main filter plate.
  • Step 2: Flip the filter components upside down to allow the food material to fall out. After removing the food particles, you can clean them with a powerful hose or scrub them with a brush.
  • Step 3: After cleaning the filter, assemble it and install it on the body.

      3. Dishwasher spray arm cleaning

When the dishwasher is turned on, the water sprayer rotates and sprays hot water to clean the dishes. It can become blocked with food debris and must be cleaned as follows:

  • To remove the spray arm, pull out the lower bracket. Then, using tweezers to remove any trapped debris, gently clean the clogged holes with a toothpick small stick. Next, clean around the spray arm with an old toothbrush dipped in warm water mixed with a detergent such as a dishwashing solution.
  • If the spray arm travels easily when attached to the rack and rotated, it may be clean. If not, please remove the exhaust cap to inspect for clogs, then remove and wash it. Remember to turn off the power first before removing the exhaust cap.

     4. Disinfect the dishwasher

To deodorize your dishwasher, use baking soda or diluted vinegar to remove odors from inside the machine. Deodorizing is also a breeze. Fill the dishwasher's water tank with this solution, then use the highest water setting to rinse the entire machine, which will help remove liquid grime, and grease, disinfect, and remove musty odors quickly. In addition, some high-end dishwashers have an automatic deodorizing procedure.
