AUTHORIZER (HOOD) AND KITCHEN SPACE STANDARDS

The installation of the hood is critical, as it directly affects the aesthetics of the kitchen, the effectiveness of the hood, and the product's durability. Hanging the hood too low might result in severe problems such as the machine catching fire (while cooking on a gas stove, the grease filter is too close and greasy will be particularly flammable), triggering a fire, and so on. Also, mounting too low can impede view while cooking or make it difficult to use.

In contrast, hanging the hood too high will limit its efficiency, or more significantly, the hood may become "useless" because the effect is too strong when it's hot and the scent of food is too far away from the straw. Because of the low odor absorption, you will not be able to remove food odors or hot air during cooking. So, how far should the hood be from the stove in order for the machine to perform smoothly and absorb the nicest fragrance of food in your kitchen? Let's learn with Adorn Museum so you can think about it before buying a cooker hood and stove for your household.

1. Size adjustment for the hood and the stove

According to experts studying hoods, the distance between the hood and the surface of the electric stove, and the induction cooker should not be less than 65 cm when cooking without being hindered by sight. The gas stove should be roughly 75 cm away. Electric and magnetic stoves with flat stovetops, no sparks when the stove is turned on, and a distance of 65 cm are sufficient. However, because the gas stove has brackets and is roughly 5 cm tall, the distance must be greater. Also, the gas stove produces a lot of heat because it has a flame when it's switched on. Thus, to avoid the flames and absorb the fragrance, to be safe from the flames and absorb the smell, place it 75cm away from the fire.

2. How much space should there be between the hood and the stove?

This is determined by whether your hood is built-in, traditional, curved glass, beveled glass, straight glass, or island-style stand-alone... Generally, the technique of installation, people categorize the types of hoods. into 3 fundamental groups:

  • Category 1: Traditional and built-in hoods

When the minimum distance from the kitchen table to the machine is 50 cm and the maximum distance is 70 cm, these two hoods have the highest suction efficiency. The hood is installed towards the rear wall of the kitchen cabinet and near the upper drawer. The machine must be the same size as the cabinet's waiting compartment and the burner below.

  • Category 2: Curved, straight, and beveled glass hoods

The distance between the stove and the bottom edge of these range hood models should be at least 60 cm and no more than 80 cm. Because these hoods are also put near the wall, in the upper kitchen cabinet space block. As a result, the size of the machine must also be in accordance with the waiting compartment of the cabinet and suitable for the burner.

  • Category 3: Stand-alone hoods (also known as reversing hoods)

The stand-alone hood is a high-capacity range hood that is fitted totally independently of the kitchen cabinet. The shortest distance between the stove and the bottom edge of this hood is 90 cm, and the longest is 1.1m. Be certain that the user does not touch the hood when utilizing.
