COLORS FOR PERCEPTION OF YOUR SPACE
People are spending an increasing amount of time inside, whether at work or at home. According to studies, we currently spend 87% of our time engaged indoors. Color is a critical characteristic that influences the human experience in space. Here are 9 techniques to alter the perception of interior space just by arranging and selecting colors.
1. Expand the space
The greatest way to generate a sense of spaciousness is to utilize light colors. Natural light will be reflected by this color. Not only that, but it will visually expand the room.
2. Compact spaceOpt for brighter colors for the wall surfaces if your goal is to make the area appear more compact, small, and snug. They will absorb the majority of the natural light, producing a sensation of completion. This is appropriate for specific functions.
Wall cladding and wooden furnishings condense and cozy the area
3. Lower ceiling
Lowering the ceiling can make a space more comfortable in some instances. It also has a pleasant atmosphere. Painting the ceiling a darker color than the wall or revealing the material's texture will create the illusion of a lower ceiling.
The structure has a stretched wooden line ceiling to help minimize ceiling height
4. Lift up the space
In contrast, some flats have lower ceilings, giving the place a claustrophobic air. The illusion of a higher ceiling can be created by painting the walls a deeper color and leaving the ceiling white.
Light ceilings help to extend the area and make dark walls feel less stuffy
5. Enlarge the area
The same hue and darker than the side walls on the ceiling and back wall will make the area appear wider and more open. This is a common approach in corridors or tiny rooms.
6. Narrow spaceTo visually limit the area, paint the two opposite walls a dark color while leaving the background and ceiling a light tint. This improves the number of rooms that are disproportionately large.

7. Shorten the space
If you have a very large space in your home and want it to feel cozier, use a dark paint color for the back wall. On the contrary, use lighter colors on other surfaces.
8. Create accents with wall color
Keep one wall lighter in tone to draw attention to it, while the others are darker. The viewer's attention will be drawn to the wall that you wish to press.
9. Shorten the wall
If you want to shorten the walls, paint the lower section of the wall a dark hue.
